DIY Week: One Square Yard Wrap

As DIY Week comes to a close, I have one last simply easy-peasy DIY to share with you.

One Square Yard Wrap Tutorial from Pinterest via www.theseams.blogspot.com
This DIY comes from Behind The Seams, and is most likely one of the easiest things you will ever make for yourself.

Go check it out, spend 15 minutes making this awesome and oh so gorgeous wrap for yourself!

  1. I have been looking how to make this wrap everywhere! I have a couple questions if you could answer, it would be awesome! 1) What kind of fabric would be good to use? 2) Would 1 yard of fabric cover this, or would I need more? Thanks!

  2. Hi, Nicole! I'm glad that I could help you find a great tutorial. :) The original tutorial can be found here: http://theseams.blogspot.com/2010/02/diy-wrap-turned-scarf.html
I actually haven't had a chance to make this yet, but I think that it would be super easy to do.
I think that the best fabric to use would be a jersey knit. You are going to want one that will not fray when cut. It should kind of roll up on the edges where it is cut, like a t-shirt would if you were to cut it.
I also think that 1 yard of fabric would be plenty if you are an average sized girl. If you wanted it to be a little bit bigger and a little more bunched, just get a yard and a half. The key here is going to be the width of the fabric. The tutorial calls for a fabric that is about 60 inches wide.

Hopefully that helps! :) Let me know how it turns out!
